what's your take on life? live for today! do you squeeze every moment out of everyday & seize every opportunity that crosses your path? even though things might get messy, do you put off worrying about it and deal with problems as them come? are you unsure of the future, but hope that things will work out in the end? ---OR--- live for tomorrow! do you invest your time & effort for the sake of a better future? so what if you're not as happy at the end of today, by tomorrow you will be a happier/better person than you would have been otherwise, right? do you give up the moment and just pray at the end of the road, your sacrifice will have been worth it?
i've been taught by my parents/culture to be a "live for tomorrow person". it's been instilled in my value system that it is important study so i can get better grades and have a brighter future, make more money (which supposedly should be used for the good of humanity), and all that jazz. at the same time, i have compelete admiration for people who are daring and take chances because they are passionate about the cause. they do this even though they don't really know whether the consequences will be good or bad. as for myself, i don't have it in me to "gamble" with my life like that, even though somehow it seems like it always works out better in the end for those kinds of people (grass is greener on the other side?). i want to be a "live for today" kind of person, & maybe i can be in that way with the little things, but in general, for now, i am in my play it safe, "for tomorrow" place.
i am going to go study for my chem lab practical/ finals now.
i would like to thank the gentlemen of irvine recomm for the best singles awareness day ever! i would never trade a romantic candle lit dinner for the lovely bokgumbab & music video that you made for us. haha we even got chocolate and flowers

i'm sick again. the thing is i almost never get sick, but lately i've been getting sick more. there's a pattern. i always get sick before tests. it's never enough to get me carted away to a hosiptal so i have a legitmate reason not to take the test. only just enough to nagg & make me rather uncomfortable like making it painful to swallow anything & my muscles sensitive & tense.
conclusion: i am allergic to midterms & finals.
end edit.
random thoughts...
i'm kind of studying for my bio midterm and i stumbled upon something kind of cool. trying to figure out the origin of life, scientists came to the conclusion that the formation of proteins & dna was made possible by clay. proteins & dna are essential to humans. so basically, the stuff that makes up humans was made by clay. only, these scientists are a couple thousand years late considering in genesis it says "God formed the man from the dust of the ground."
could it all just be a weird coincidence? i think not hehe
